On July 26th, Margaret diZerega moderated a panel and sessions entitled Managing Community Safety Today: Challenges and Opportunities. Housing authority directors can play a key role in promoting community safety. In this interactive session, they learned about evidence-based strategies to increase safety and how some of those approaches can be applied through partnerships with community organizations.

This meeting including a briefing from the US Department of Energy (DOE) regarding the importance of Securing U.S. Critical Energy Infrastructure: Partnerships & Information Sharing Pathways, National Information Exchange.
