This is a research project that aims to document the national trends related to juror compensation and selection.
January to June 2022: The data has been aggregated into a spreadsheet. We are currently working to put the data on a map that allows individuals to compare and contrast by state.
July-December 2022: Data has been migrated to an interactive map. Map development is ongoing.
January - June 2023: Data has been uploaded and interactive map is in the testing stage.
June-Dec. 2023: Development stalled. Rethinking what resource can be developed with existing data.
Jan-June 2024: RTI is working with NACDL and their summer interns to update relevant fields before finalizing jury page work (to be completed in Q3).
July-Dec 2024:RTI has continued to work with NACDL to develop jury map page on website.
During this period, RTI worked with NACDL summer interns to update the jury data with recent statute changes (since data were last updated in 2020). RTI has continued to work with the NACDL web developer to create user-friendly, interactive pages on jury selection and jury compensation statutes
