Vera coordinated and recorded a webinar on building partnerships to provide reentry services to incarcerated people returning to the community. Panelists included representatives from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, South Central Wisconsin Workforce Development Board, and Metropolitan Community College in Nebraska. These panelists discussed their education and reentry initiatives—a college-run reentry program operating out of an on-campus reentry center with leadership by formerly incarcerated people, and a collaborative partnership between a state department of correction and regional Workforce Development Board to increase opportunities, reduce barriers, and improve outcomes for justice-involved clients returning to the community. This webinar and audio transcript will be a resource added to the National Reentry Resource Center for public viewing and use.
