The Casa Grande Police Department recently uderwent an administation change which emphasizes a pro-active problem solving philosophy. As part of this cultural shift, the department seeks assistance to transition officer's mindset to a performance management philosophy. In addition, the department has experienced a cut in available training funds by more than fifty percent in this economic downturn. BJA NTTAC referred this request to CICP.

How do you anticipate that the requested assistance will address the problems?
The Casa Grande Police Department intends to contract with Blue Courage to provide all sworn and civilan support staff with their training program designed to forge a culture of leadership, character and service in the spirit of what democratic policing promises its citizenry.

The Casa Grande Police Department has received a quote in excess of $32,000.00 to provide four 2 day classes for all employees to attend. Our department is requesting BJA assistance of $8,000.00 to fund one of these classes.
