Title: Exploring the Value of Deflection in Reducing Crime, Preventing Overdose, and Building Trust: A Roundtable Discussion
What are the purpose and goal(s) of the event?
• Discuss the metrics by which police leaders measure program success of deflection programs to include reductions in crime, police contacts, and overdoses, as well as administrative and cost factors.
• Discuss community narratives around crime, safety, and public health in communities with deflection programs

Over the past six (6) months, the IACP tracked 104 resource downloads across the CRIT informational websites we maintain.
IACP staff maintained and updated our CRIT Connect online community which houses our grantees across all fiscal years. CRIT Connect houses resources and is a space for sites to engage with the TA provider as well as partners and other grantees to discuss their projects, workshop challenges, and market opportunities.
At the IACP 2024 Annual Conference in Boston, MA, the team presented three Quick Hits to live audiences on a variety of crisis response topics: "Crisis Intervention Involving People with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities"; "Policing and Behavioral Health Partnerships"; 'What is CRIT: Curriculum Tools to Save Your Agency Valuable Time".
Development of and delivery of a pilot train the trainer (TTT) program to develop a cadre of trainers who are prepared to deliver the CRIT curriculum to officers in their agencies. TTT hosted by Michigan State police in Lansing, MI from July 30 - August 1.
