Introduced Moral Recognition Therapy (MRT) to correctional facilities
Onboarded 2 new correctional rehabilitation technicians with COSSUP funding
They coordinate with MRT service providers, track progress of people in the program, discharge planning, and case management upon release
Moving offices to a new, larger space called the Center for Possibilities in November

I emailed the Minnesota Office of Justice Programs to request further information regarding their inquiry on data collection for missing or murdered black and indigenous persons. The email requested further details on their inquiry as to what avenues they would like to talk and how they would like the NCJA Data Center to assist.

Partner community Missions converted a formerly unit in their facility to create two beds, along with the staffing and PATH team for people who are waiting to go into treatment.

The development of a guidance document and reference material outlining best practices for establishing JAG Advisory Boards for the Nebraska SAA's office is underway. This board will play a crucial role in supporting NCC's comprehensive strategic planning efforts.

USVI LEPC requested NCJA assistance in facilitating discussions with their stakeholders regarding the newly implemented USVI behavioral health act and criminal justice data sharing over the course of two days. Day 1 focused on SIM mapping and discussions of regarding risk factors, community responses and environmental designs related to the behavioral health act and criminal justice policy programming. I acted in a support role via note-taking for the the NCJA facilitators.

The Michigan State Police Grants and Community Services Division, in collaboration with the Center for Justice Planning, is developing a survey followed by individual data collection calls to assess JAG program needs across law enforcement, corrections, and other key stakeholders. This survey aims to identify JAG funding needs, including program area priorities, technology requirements, and funding allocation priorities. The insights gathered from the survey and data collection calls will support MSP in their upcoming strategic planning process.

Inspired by the recently released Guidance on Meaningful Community Engagement, this webinar highlighted key insights from the document. It focused on strategies for engaging with community-based organizations, enhancing language accessibility, and improving accessibility in data collection and evaluation. These topics were explored by a diverse panel of subject matter experts, including former SAAs, retired law enforcement chiefs, NCJA Data Center staff, and language access specialists.
