The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office Jail has requested coaching technical assistance to support the transition to a new prea coorindator
new PREA Manager as well as in preparation for their fourth PREA audit planned for August 2023.

CSG Justice Center staff and Kevin Warwick from Alternative Solutions Associates conducted a virtual site visit with the Alabama BPP COSMOSS grant program. The visit consisted of a presentation from Kevin Warwick about transition planning and program engagement/retention. The team then discussed the differences amongst the DRCs as well as the unique challenges each one faces. The team also discussed gaps in case coordination and how to improve those issues. Finally the team discussed the next steps for the grant program.

During this quarterly call with the Innovator Counties, teams from 23 counties were represented. The Stepping Up partners hosted a fireside chat with Helen (Skip) Skipper from New York City Justice Peer Initiative to discuss the role of peers in supporting people with behavioral health needs who are involved in the justice system.

Remediation is initiated by PMO and is a supportive process for auditors who have been identified by PMO as having
specific challenges or deficiencies in their auditing practice. Remediation may include focused training, assessment of improved knowledge and understanding, coaching, and practice-based work with an auditor.
The intent is for auditors going through remediation to have a plan designed specifically for their needs, and not a one-size-fits-all approach.

Vera TTA coaches conducted a monthly call with Metropolitan Community College CAREERRS Project

Nationally recognized grants expert, Joan Brody, provides one-on-one TTA to sites and teaches them how to successfully search for, apply for, and receive grant funding.

Altarum and RTI met with Minnesota Department of Health Team to learn more about their TA request. They were looking to implement PRSS into their emergency department settings but are having difficulty getting buy-in from hospital leadership. Altarum followed up with a sample MOU, release of information form, job description, webinar, and 2-pager on the efficacy of peer supports. RTI provided a warm hand-off to a contact at Thrive in Ohio, as they are adept at integrating PRSS into emergency department hospital settings.

Hancock County Alcohol, Drug Addiction & Mental Health Services Deputy Director reached out to Altarum with a request to find a presenter on the topic of self-care regarding both general and supervision ethics. Altarum met with their team and provided a recommendation.

UAB's Community Justice Programs Recovery Support Services Program Administrator requested TA around incorporating more evidence-based, peer-led groups into their pre-sentenced and specialty court clients. He was specifically looking for a peer specific, early intervention or low risk substance use treatment curriculum. Altarum met with UAB to learn more about the request, them set up a call between them and Envision Partnerships, an organization that has developed a proprietary low-risk alcohol use disorder curriculum.

Altarum met with YWCA executive director and reviewed a proposed program description to provide feedback. Another follow up meeting was set up for October 2022, but prior to the meeting, YWCA Hamilton reported that potential funding for this project fell through. They will reach back out in the future if funding is secured. This TA request will be closed at this time.
