The Shreveport Police Department is requesting assistance with public messaging designed to promote implementation of "Save a Casing" program. They would like help with a public messaging campaign will encourage community engagement and participation with "Save a Casing" resulting in increased investigative leads for homicides and shootings.

There seems to be increasing concern with the belief that crime, and in particular violent crime, is increasing. As a crime prevention organization, we are looking to the Bureau of Justice to help address these concerns at our conference. In particular, any programs specific to preventing violent crime and/or alleviating the perception of increasing risk that our practitioners could take back to their communities would be most welcome.
