Based on changes in organizational structure, the ongoing changes in the hiring process, and the altered workforce structure, we would like to take a proactive step and provide our employees with leadership training before they obtain any official leadership position to not only strengthen the individual employee for present needs, but the future as well. This will serve to benefit both the employee, and the organization as a whole.

Looking for access to information about LEO’s certification status.

Requestors are asking for funding to travel to the conference/meeting. This will include flight, baggage fees, per diem, hotel, and hotel. Exact amounts will be obtained, the currently known information is hotel ($706.80), baggage fees ($60 - round trip). The additional costs will be investigated shortly.

Webinar to introduce peacekeeping strategies for law enforcement. This webinar was referred for approval in June 2022 for webinar to occur in July of 2022. The webinar was rescheduled to October 26, 2022. The webinar was postponed at the suggestion of BJA advisor and remains pending.

The North Charleston Police Department is requesting a subject matter expert provide basic crime analysis and deployment training. The objective of this TTA is to build analytical capacity within the North Charleston Police Department. At the end of the training department personnel would be able to provide products such as action charts, basic maps and daily activity of persons of interest (who, where, when and why).

The Gary Police Department is requesting subject matter expertise in the form of a crime analysis assessment. The agency's goal is to get a top to bottom understanding of the GPD data collection systems - what data is collected and how it is used and synthesized. What assets and opportunities exist for development to develop and codify their crime analysis capacity.

The training will bridge the gap between the community and law enforcement with the goal of building trust, overcome biases, and improve relations. The training program, is a POST certified curriculum. Each Game Changer event is intended to provide training value for both law enforcement and community members. Game Changer will bring together probationers in custody and the probation officers for moderated focus groups. Together there will be a discussion on community problems and devise solutions.

I would like a training for my staff for Suicide Prevention. The staff would include all Detention officers and part of our administrative staff, on how to address it, screen for suicidal ideations or identify individuals that appear to be depressed and what to watch for.

Peer Support training, team building and resiliency training.
