CSG Justice Center staff emailed the MO DOC team on 9/6/24 to invite them to the SCA Conference as a Reentry 2030 participant.
CSG Justice Center staff held TA calls on 9/6 and 9/13, with Nebraska team, including the Deputy Director – Programs; Assistant Deputy Director – Reentry; Case Management Coordinator; Assistant Deputy Director of Classification; Reentry Program Manager; and CSG staff to plan logistics, agenda, and content for a one-day reentry employment summit later in the fall. From 9/16 to 9/19 CSG staff attended site visit to Lincoln and Omaha to observe parole school and hearings, meet with parole board chair, and observe reentry programs in the women's facility.
CSG Justice Center staff met with the Reentry Alabama Commission Meeting; CSG Justice Center staff attended in person and Alabama Appleseed gave a housing stability presentation to the commission. CSG Justice Center staff met with ABPP in bi-weekly check-in meetings to determine how well the commission is moving toward reaching goals, and more specific action-based questions. CSG Justice Center staff had initial conversation with leaders in Colorado about introducing Reentry 2030 to the governor.
The PRC developed a three-part Introductory Topics Webinar Series on protections in the PREA Standards for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and gender nonconforming (LGBTI+) people in custody. The three (3) webinars in this series provide relevant introductory training for staff who are responsible for implementing PREA Standards that rely on effective and professional communication with LGBTI+ people who are confined.
The developed a three-part Advanced Topics Webinar Series on the protections in the PREA Standards for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and gender nonconforming (LGBTI+) people in custody. This series addresses all the requirements in the PREA Standards that specifically reference LGBTI+ people and provides guidance from corrections professionals and other experts who have worked through the challenges associated with these standards and implemented PREA compliant policies and practices.

CSG Justice Center staff conducted technical assistance Arizona via a site visit on August 20th to Perryville complex. Perryville has a max population of 4,401 inmates and currently houses female offenders. During the site visit, CSG Justice Center staff met with Arizona DOC leaders regarding a R2030 launch.
CSG Justice Center staff conducted technical assistance to Washington through emails and meetings. On 8/2/24 - Email: CSG requested a list of invites that CSG had sent for Washington’s Reentry 2030 launch event in September. 8/6/24 - Call: CSG held a call with WA DOC to get an update on the planning process for the launch event in September.
CSG Justice Center staff conducted technical assistance to Nebraska via TA calls held on 8/2, 8/9, 8/16, and 8/30 with Nebraska team, including the Deputy Director – Programs; Assistant Deputy Director – Reentry; Case Management Coordinator; Assistant Deputy Director of Classification; Reentry Program Manager; and CSG staff to plan for follow-up outreach to Cabinet agencies, Reentry Taskforce and Working Group launches, and landscape analysis. Listening sessions held with RISE on 8/12 and Metro 180 RAP on 8/6 to hear their perspective of opportunities and challenges in reentry.
