IIR is recognized for recruiting and retaining the very best SMEs and instructors, ensuring an ongoing infusion of new talent, and employing an internal vetting process for all contractors. IIR will continue to identify, vet, and utilize new instructors, as needed, on an ongoing basis to ensure that relevant experience, diversity, and a range of expertise are available to the program. SMEs will be utilized to support curricula development, instructional efforts, and providing needed resources in support of this program.
The National Criminal Justice Training Center of Fox Valley Technical College provided planning, programmatic, and logistical support to coordinate and conduct the November 18, 2024 BJA Government to Government Tribal Consultation.
NACDL will send attorney and mitigation specialist subject matter experts to South Carolina to train multiple offices (including newly hired staff) on best practices in mitigation. The training will focus on trainees existing cases and utilize the Bring-Your-Own-Case (BYOC) model to the extent feasible.
