The Memphis, Tennessee Public Safety Partnership site requested a holistic assessment of the Shelby County, Tennessee District Attorney’s Office (SCDAGO) and a report detailing recommendations and best practices in the following areas: office organization and structure; office culture and environment; case processing and quality of work; and training and evaluation. Under a previous SOW, the Prosecutors Center for Excellence conducted three site visits to SCDAGO and identified additional data to assess, stakeholders to interview, and processes for enhancement.

The Socorro, Texas Police Department's request has been referred to IIR for fulfillment under IIR's SLATT Regional Trainings BJA NTTAC engagement. It is anticipated that one or more representatives from the Socorro PD will be supported to attend a forthcoming SLATT regional workshop in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area in September 2018.

The Memphis, Tennessee Police Department (PD), as part of the Memphis Public Safety Partnership (PSP) site, requested an assessment of its Gang Unit to lead to an increased understand of best practice for responding to gang activity and identifying areas of potential growth in MPDs plan for prevention, intervention, and suppression. Dr. Charles Katz was selected to fulfill the request, and conducted an assessment through several onsite visits. The assessment occurred in February 2018, and a final report was delivered to Memphis PD in March 2018.

The city of New Orleans, Louisiana requested assistance in implementation a law enforcement assisted diversion program. The LEAD National Support Bureau was selected to fulfil the request and conducted working group sessions and discussions with New Orleans personnel onsite form July 17-29, 2018.

The Alaska Department of Corrections (DOC) requested technical assistance with the identification and implementation of nationally-recognized policies, practices, and procedures to reform and improve upon existing agency approaches to solitary confinement. BJA NTTAC is currently still identifying potential TA providers to fulfill this request, which will be transferred to the Option Year 1 (OY1) contract.

The Virgin Island Department of Justice requested training for local law enforcement and detectives in the investigation and prosecution of violent and financial crimes. BJA NTTAC referred this request to the Police Executive Research Forum.

Tuscon Police Department requested a Crime Analysis on Demand (CAoD) to assess their analytical capacity and make recommendations to enhance the crime analysis function in the department. Julie Wartell was selected to fulfill the request and provided an assessment of their COMPSTAT model. The CAoD assessment occurred from November 17, 2017 to June 30, 2018 and involved the Tuscon Police Department.
