Assist the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) with gathering and refining requirements necessary to develop an application that will automate reporting of charge disposition information from prosecutors and courts. This will ultimately assist the state with improving the completeness of their criminal history records for firearms and other background checks.

Legal Concerns for Digital Evidence Responders provides a legal background for first responders and investigators who encounter or work with digital evidence. Topics include Fourth Amendment concerns, the importance of getting digital devices into the hands of a forensics expert, recent case law, and practical advice on obtaining and executing search warrants. The modules function as companions to NW3C’s computer crimes classes and may be required as online prerequisites for either instructor-led or online training.

The College Park City-University Partnership, consisting of three municipalities and the University of Maryland, requested a Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) analysis of a popular bicycle/pedestrian trail. The Virginia Center for Policing Innovation (VCPI) was selected to fulfill the request and provided a complete CPTED analysis of the Rhode Island Avenue Trolley Trail in Spring 2017. VCPI delivered the report to the College Park City-University Partnership in June 2017, and presented the results in-person in College Park, Maryland in July 2017.

Fox Valley Technical College (FVTC) requested Blue Courage: The Heart and Mind of the Guardian training for law enforcement personnel from the state of Wisconsin. Blue Courage Inc. was selected to fulfill the request and conducted a two-day training session for 17 personnel in Appleton, Wisconsin on May 4-5, 2017.
