Elizabeth Pyke - helped Juliene Maska from Kansas navigate a challenge. They were told initially that they might be disapproved from using their CESF funds to complete an important statewide IT system upgrade project. Any project over $500,000 apparently needs BJA approval and the initial indication was that they could not approve it because the final project would not be completed until after the grant period.
The NCJA project team reviewed the 2018 Strategic Plan submitted by the Kansas SAA. This plan was submitted in the year prior to the new strategic planning requirement mandated by the Justice for All Reauthorization Act for 2019 applications..
