This webinar focuses on federal prosecution and availability of resources to address youth reentry as well as how these resource influence charging decisions at the federal and state level. It will highlight effective strategies for supporting youth reentry and feature resources from OJJDP. 41 attendees

The RSAT programs at the Florence McClure Women’s Correctional, STARS (Sisters Together Achieving Recovery and Sobriety) and New Light, are two of five therapeutic community RSAT programs offered within the Nevada Department of Corrections. STARS and New Light are co-located in House 9 of the facility, constituting a specialized 120-bed intensive residential substance use disorder (SUD) program.

A trauma-informed approach acknowledges the impact that trauma has on people’s lives and aims to prevent re-traumatization. This webinar explores effective and practical strategies for criminal justice professionals when working with victims and survivors of gun violence and highlights the importance of strong collaboration and communication. 123 attendees

Drawing on research and studies, the speakers will consider research findings about the effectiveness of Correctional MAT in saving lives, promoting recovery, reducing recidivism, and improving the overall quality of life for individuals struggling with opioid use disorders.
