Mentor Courts serve as models for individuals and court teams interested in starting a Veterans Drug Court or for established courts interested in learning innovative practices. These visits are conducted virtually and allow an entire court team to " visit" and observe staffing, and drug court proceedings and have a Q&A session with the mentor court.
A virtual Veteran's Symposium was held November 4-5, 2021.
Session 1: Challenges to taking the 1st Step – Engaging the Veteran Population in Treatment Courts presented by Mark Panasiewicz, Program Director, Justice for Vets, National Association of Drug Court Professionals; occurred November 4 at 3pm ET.
