The New York City Police Department Special Projects requested information on implicit bias training for personnel and assess training presentations. BJA NTTAC provided various resources for law enforcement personnel related to training in the event of an administered assessment. We included information regarding FLETC and IADLEST.
The Westwood, Kansas Police Department requested information on grant funding opportunities around body-worn camera technology. BJA NTTAC provided the requestor with a list of providers that offer implicit bias training and also referred the requestor to CNA.
The Los Angeles County, California Office of Probation requested information about existing online training in the area of compliance checks. BJA NTTAC provided the requestor with online resources including Sesame Street in Communities and the International Association of Chiefs of Police’s Children with Incarcerated Parents Initiative.
Dawn Rowe, of GirlVow, Inc. requested information on developing a girls/LGBTQ youth mentoring program. BJA NTTAC provided the requestor with resources including the National Girls Initiative and National Mentoring Resource Center.
Going Home Hawaii requested support to implement Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion programming. BJA referred this request to the Council of State Governments.

Marion County Texas requested information on training for the use of Naloxone and how to acquire Naloxone kits. BJA NTTAC provided the requestor with resources on acquiring Naloxone and training information for its local departments.
L. Katelan Shartzer reached to BJA NTTAC for information to support the creation of a community outreach officer position. BJA NTTAC provided links to resources through DOJ's Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) program and the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP). Specifically, the requester was directed to explore the Collaboration Toolkit for Law Enforcement: Effective Strategies to Partner with the Community and The Collaboration Toolkit for Community Organizations from the COPS office, and to contact IACP's Institute for Community/Police Relations.
