This session will explore a programmatic theory of change, offering a comprehensive
This session will examine how the Housing First model has been adapted to support justice-involved individuals, emphasizing its effectiveness in promoting stable reentry outcomes. It will also explore the Housing First, But Not Housing Only approach, which emphasizes the critical role of supportive services beyond housing to address the unique needs of people transitioning from incarceration. In addition, the session will provide practical insights into the successes and limitations of these models.
This session will explore innovative housing solutions, including Impact Justice's reentry housing model, The Homecoming Project, as well as the various tenets of housing innovation. Through interactive discussion, attendees will engage in mapping creative housing strategies that incorporate likely and unlikely partnerships. Additionally, the session will introduce the new National Housing Incubator, a transformative initiative aimed at scaling solutions nationwide.
This session will focus on creating a platform for community-based and faith-based organizations to present their housing initiatives and projects. The organizations will discuss how their housing solutions play a vital role in supporting reentry housing for individuals who transition back into society after a period of confinement. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with these organizations and ask questions to deepen their understanding of the innovative housing solutions being implemented.
This orientation session introduced the Cohort to eachother and the broader Impact Justice Team, including the President, Vice President of Innovations, Vice President of Finance, Director of the Housing Lab, Senior Program Manager of the Housing Lab (leading the work with the Hosuing Incubator), Senior Finance Associate, and Senior Researcher. Impact Justice walked the grantees through invoicing/reimbursements, grant requirements, timelines, and expectations. Space was also held for Q&A and a post-survey.
Impact Justice (IJ) collaborated with BJA and CSG for the Second Chance Act Conference. As part of our requirement as a TA provider, IJ hosted a total of 4 sessions, which included speakers from our inaugural cohort of the National Reentry Housing Incubator. IJ met with each organization that was selected to participate to provide a detailed overview of the session and a facilitator's guide for added context and preparation.
