Historically, the state of New York has not had community supervision as a part of the treatment court team. However, probation has reached out and is seeking to become an active part of treatment courts. Probation is now participating on a local level in over 20 treatment courts within the state and is looking to expand into more treatment courts.

It was presented by Chantel Cloud (TLPI), Catherine Retana (TLPI), Greg Brown (Fox Valley), with administrative support from Mytia Zavala (TLPI). Chief Judge Patricia Davis, and Kim Needham, Tribal Court Clerk/Administrator, Miranda J. Moulton, Probation Officer of the Burns Paiute Tribal Court joined the virtual on-site training via zoom. TLPI and Fox Valley presented on Tribal Re-Entry and Probation: Case Planning for Criminal Justice Professionals
On 3/15/2024 TLPI held their Virtual Kick Off Meeting for FY 23 CTAS PA 3 Grantees. Chief Judge Patricia Davis, and Kim Needham, Tribal Court Clerk/Administrator of the Burns Paiute Tribal Court joined the virtual meeting via zoom. TLPI presented on the Tribal Courts, Tribal Justice System, and Intergovernmental Collaboration Projection, the broad range of TLPI resources, publications, webinars, and various TTA projects. TLPI also discussed how to request TTA, the TTA TLPI process (which consists of TA Coach assignments, the development of a TA workplan, and a final TA report.
