This webinar will examine the U.S. Department of Justice’s investigation of the Cumberland County Jail in Bridgeton, NJ which was conducted pursuant to the Civil Rights of Institutionalized Persons Act (CRIPA). The investigation focused on whether the CCJ complies with its obligations under the Constitution by taking adequate measures to provide mental health care and to prevent inmate suicides. These types of investigations were severely curtailed during the Trump Administration but are expected to increase during the Biden Administration.

A Webinar to Identify and Recognize -
1. The most updated list of Synthetic Opiates, to include fentanyl, other analogs and their dangers;
2. Recognition of opiate users and why they overdose on these dangerous drugs;
3. Recognition of Pill Mill labs, fentanyl pills and other type synthetic opiate labs, including all paraphernalia;
4. The proper safety equipment as documented by Federal DEA and Washington D.C., office of ONDCP, protocols needed to safely search, seize and properly submit for evidence of all synthetic opiates.

Experts say the United States is in the throes of an opioid epidemic, as more than two million of Americans have become dependent on or abused prescription pain pills and street drugs. One person dies every 12 minutes from a prescription drug overdose in the United States. Particpants of this training learn which opiates and depressants are abused most frequently and learn about the dangers of new synthetics, including Fentanyl. The training examines the stages of use, addiction, and withdrawal symptoms, and the health and life-threatening dangers posed from use of these drugs.
