Presentation on the integration of social work into criminal defense practice to both enhance the representation before the courts, as well as to the client. Using social work for more than just mitigation, but using and interdisciplinary approach to representation in order to achieve better life outcomes for clients.
On March 11, 2015, Alex Sierck provided one-hour of phone-based TTA to the Humboldt County (CA) Public Defender Office on the topic of social work, in particular how best to structure the work and maximize the effectiveness of their first social work hire.
