On September 27-30, 2016, at DHS and the NSI PMO’s request, IIR provided logistical assistance and travel support for one NSI business support representative to provide technical assistance support to the Dallas Fusion Center and North Central Texas Fusion Center.
On September 22 and 23, 2016, Mr. Phil Ramer, Nationwide Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR) Initiative (NSI) Executive Support Specialist, coordinated two NSI Technical Assistance (TA) deliveries on behalf of the Central Florida Intelligence Center and the International Drive Resort Area Chamber of Commerce, at the request of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's National Protections and Programs Directorate.
On September 13, 2016, Mr. Phil Ramer, Nationwide Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR) Initiative (NSI) Executive Support Specialist, coordinated an NSI Technical Assistance (TA) Delivery for the West Virginia Intelligence Fusion Center (WVIFC). The delivery was part of WVIFC's Terrorism Liaison Officer Training Seminar and included an overview of the NSI and the eGuardian system. Privacy concerns, the NSI's suite of online trainings, and the sixteen behaviors as articulated in the Functional Standard 1.5.5 were also discussed.
On January 26, 2016, Mr. Monte McKee, Nationwide Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR) Initiative (NSI) Executive Support Specialist, coordinated an NSI Technical Assistance (TA) Delivery for the Indiana Intelligence Fusion Center (IIFC). The purpose of the TA was twofold: to address privacy concerns related to the NSI program and use of the SAR Data Repository (SDR) and to provide an NSI New Director Briefing to the new IIFC Director and leadership team.
An NSI Executive Support Specialist attended the New Mexico Homeland Security and Emergency Management Conference, which was held August 11-13, 2015, to provide onsite technical assistance and outreach services to the participants. The event brought together emergency management, law enforcement, fire and emergency medical services departments, healthcare providers, the agricultural and environmental community, wild land firefighting, the pueblos, tribes and nations within New Mexico, members from the private sector, volunteer organizations and federal, state and local governments.
A subject-matter expert who also serves as an NSI Executive Support Specialist attended an NSI SDR/eGuardian training session in Frankfort, Kentucky, on August 7, 2015, to provide information on the SDR and the NSI to the attendees. IIR staff also facilitated a teleconference between Kentucky Intelligence Fusion Center personnel and the eGuardian training staff.
On September 2, 2015, a Nationwide SAR Initiative (NSI) Team Meeting was held in Tallahassee, Florida, to discuss strategic efforts for Fiscal Year 2016. Attendees at this meeting included all NSI programmatic staff, the NSI executive support field liaison specialists, and federal representatives from DHS and the PM-ISE.
