Honolulu, Hawaii is a gateway for China to transit copious amounts of illegal fireworks coming into this country. Our police department needs a resource expert in fireworks laws in order to modify our current legal definitions. We may also need training in giving expert testimony for the prosecution of cases.

The SPD is seeking vendor assistance to modernizing internal and external Tableau Dashboards. In addition to overhauling the look and feel of these tools to promote engagement, the SPD has recently acquired two new Tableau Servers (internal and external) with additional computing capacity to accommodate advanced functionality such as integration with Python and R. The full resources of the SPD Performance Analytics & Research (PA&R) team and infrastructure would support this engagement.

I would like any information/guidance you have regarding curriculum development, development of forensic peer worker types, which community partners and stakeholders I should involve in this process, and what other states are doing to successfully connect and streamline Peer services for persons that are justice-involved. Also, how to get criminal justice partners to buy-in and support this work, since any Peers in parts of Oregon are still unable to enter our jails, prisons, and state hospitals.

Want someone to come in, do an assessment, see if they are looking at the right risk factors, are they missing anything, are they giving too much weight to any factors, how are they using the data they have for supervision services.

Stratford Police Department has created and implemented a community policing program over the past ten years. The program is a hybrid of the Police Activities League (PAL) and a Stratford-innovated program, the Police Engagement Program(r) (PEP). PAL hosts year-long programs with K-12 students, ranging from social activities, sports programs and has three separate curricula in the schools, which were approved by the Stratford Board of Education. The Stratford PD also intervenes to provide support when social services are unavailable.

I would like a training for my staff for Suicide Prevention. The staff would include all Detention officers and part of our administrative staff, on how to address it, screen for suicidal ideations or identify individuals that appear to be depressed and what to watch for.
