Provide ongoing assistance and support to grantees under the Upholding the Rule of Law & Preventing Wrongful Convictions program through direct consultations and feedback, as well as connecting grantees to each other for more general and global assistance. Regular online meetings were held with: Georgia Innocence Project, Fulton County DAO, CPCS, and New England Innocence Project. These are the only grants still ongoing during this period.

This virtual event will bring together representatives from prosecution, law enforcement, innocence efforts, conviction integrity units, defense lawyers and other stakeholders to discuss the needs and challenges faced by each stakeholder in addressing potential wrongful convictions. The goal is to develop concrete strategies and next steps to advance efforts to prevent and correct wrongful conviction.

"Intake and Triage of CIU Review Applications" was held as a online discussion on March 24, 2021 at 3pm EDT: Established in 2007, Dallas County’s Conviction Integrity Unit is the longest serving CIU in the United States. Over the last 14 years, the Dallas County CIU, currently led by Cynthia Garza, has been a model for other CIUs that have been created throughout the country. Much like other CIUs, Dallas County saw an influx of review applications once more people learned about what the unit was doing. Ms.
