Per incarcerated student's request after an online panel, I held a virtual Q & A meeting with incarcerated students around higher education in prison and after at AVCF in Colorado. It was facilitated by Colorado DOC and organized and co-presented with Open Campus reporter Charlotte West.

PRC staff observed a certified PREA auditor conduct a compliance audit of the Ocean Tides School which is a non-secure residential facility for court adjudicated youth located in Narrangansett, Rhode Island. The purpose of the audit observation project was to learn how certified auditors are implementing the PREA Auditor Handbook required audit methodology in practice.

The purpose of the audit observation project was to learn how certified auditors are implementing the PREA Auditor Handbook required audit methodology in practice and to analyze the effectiveness of the audit methodology and audit instrument.

The Vera Institute of Justice is offering a 12-month virtual technical assistance (TA) engagement to help a correctional facility increase access to PREA information and services for incarcerated people with disabilities, those who are Deaf, and those with limited English proficiency (LEP).
