The NRTAC staff hosted a virtual meeting over Zoom to deliver the CGIC recommendations to the Vanderburgh County, Indiana, CGIC. Upon delivery of the recommendations, the Vanderburgh County CGIC team was prepared to discuss implementation plans for each recommendation.

IACP coordinated and facilitated a roundtable meeting of over 15 police leaders on working alongside and with CVI organizations, challenges, and strategies to support these collaborations.

IACP coordinated, and facilitated a workshop with representatives from BCJI sites implementing and supporting CVIs to discuss comprehensive public safety strategies involving CVIs and police.

The purpose of this in-person meeting was to review the progress being made with the FY21 VCR grant, its estimated close-out, and the start date for the FY23 VCR grant.

The Stockbridge Police Department (SPD) is a new agency which started on July 1, 2022. Stockbridge, Ga is located on the south side of the Atlanta metroplex and has a significant violent crime problem. Stockbridge Police Department plans to use grant funds to start a Video Integration Center (VIC). SPD’s violent crime trends are similar to what was described in the proposal with significant juvenile involvement in crime and a high percentage of crimes being committed by young offenders with stolen cars. These offenders are also frequently using firearms stolen from vehicles.

The Department of Justice updated the requirements for EEOP reporting. As the prime, JSS is working with all of the subrecipients and micro-grantees to ensure that the EEOP reporting is completed appropriately.
