The National Police Foundation’s NRTAC team will provide ongoing training and technical assistance support for the implementation and development of the Harris County (TX) crime gun intelligence center.

The National Police Foundation’s NRTAC team will provide ongoing training and technical assistance support for the implementation and development of the Aurora (CO) crime gun intelligence center.

The NRTAC hosted the 7th Annual Regional CGIC Multi-Site Training in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Cincinnati CGIC assisted in the organization of the conference and invited participating CGIC grantees to tour their facilities. The conference was a mix of panel presentations and breakout sessions. Presentation topics included the state of gun violence in the U.S., leveraging NIBIN in violent crime investigations, NIBIN and the preservation of forensic evidence, and using acoustic gunshot detection evidence in the courtroom.

The NRTAC team hosted a virtual meeting over Zoom to deliver the CGIC recommendations and process map to the Santa Clara County, California, CGIC. Upon delivery, the Santa Clara County CGIC team was prepared to discuss implementation plans for each recommendation.

The IACP worked with BJA to coordinate and host a workshop at the IACP Annual Conference. Presenters discussed considerations and experience related to CVI-police collaboration

The IACP worked with BJA to coordinate and host a rountable discussion at the IACP Annual Conference. During the session, law enforcement leaders discussed collaboration with community violence intervention programs.
