The Department of Corrections has numerous training needs and desires, however, the department has prioritized our top six training needs that we would like to request and pursue should the NTTAC be able to assist us. We are looking for on-site opportunities that will enhance the opportunity for corrections, medical, and mental health staff to able to break away from the day to day operations and focus on the training being provided by having on-site classroom opportunities.

Thurston County is seeking support to:
1) Update a risk tool for their Pretrial Services
2) Train individuals on the risk tool, including representatives from pretrial, court, defense counsel and prosecution; and
3) Develop a Strategic Plan for pretrial supervision, including matrix based on risk assessment.

The Keller Group Neighborhood Foundation requested technical assistance to develop a strategic plan to address service gaps for the returning citizens. BJA determined the Keller Group to be ineligible for assistance through BJA NTTAC.

Training formerly incarcerated men as mentors in our New Leadership Phase 1. This training will convince formerly incarcerated men that volunteering not only will raise self-esteem but will also give them an opportunity to show compassion for others. Request from referred from OJJDP NTTAC.

To better educate the officers

I am requesting training assistance with respect to the Cellebrite forensic software package, which allows for forensically sound retrieval of digital data from cellphones, tablets, and other digital devices.

Office of Victim Services and Justice Grants(OVSJG) is the State Administering Agency (SAA) for Byrne funds. OVSJG is represented at multijurisdictional workgroups and stakeholders have approached OVSJG for the following TTA request: (1) training for staff at two consolidated and newly developing DC agencies within the public safety and justice cluster - DC Office of Chief Medical Officer and DC Forensic Sciences. Both agencies are developing its infrastructure and are under new administration.

I am requesting an audit of the training provided by my agency to my pre-service and in-service personnel. I am interested in the extent to which our training reflects the best practices and desired outcomes as described in the recommendations from the Presidents Task force on 21st Century Policing, the COPS office and the best practices as developed by Washington State Academy' Sue Rohr.

I would be interested in on-site study, training and curriculum development assistance as needed.
