During this reporting period the New Hampshire Department of Corrections (NHDOC) continued work on PREA implementation at their facilities. NHDOC PREA staff were focused on a PREA audit of several of their facilities that occurred in early June for which they were given a corrective action plan. During this reporting period NHDOC implemented their PREA staff training as well as their staff refresher training.

The grant for Los Angeles County Probation Department was closed during this reporting period in September 2023. In this reporting period, the Los Angeles County Probation Department (LACPD) has continued to wrap up the final pieces of their grant. During this reporting period LACPD printed several materials, including brochures and PREA education signs, to ensure they have enough stock to carry them through after the grant period ends.

Advanced technical assistance was provided by Impact Justice Partners at Just Detention International (JDI) to Tarrant County Sheriff's office in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas on Sexual Abuse Prevention and Response.

Staff with PRC presented information on PREA Implementation within Juvenile Justice Agencies and Facilities at Meetings conducted by the Council of Juvenile Justice Administrators. PRC Staff Director Dana Shoenberg and PRC Staff Senior Program Manager, Teresa Stroud presented.

Monthly coaching meetings and phone/email contact as needed. TMG coaches also provided support as needed during the reporting period when the agency PREA Coordinator reached out with questions related to ongoing PREA audits at two agency facilities.
The coaches conducted a PREA audit readiness on-site visit on June 20-22, 2023 to assist with operationalizing the grant strategies and reviewing audit readiness at South Woods State Prison.

The coaches conducted an on-site visit to this agency in late April 2023. The on-site visit was intended to assist the agency in its review and revision of its grant strategies so that these strategies can better align with the agency?s PREA grant goals and what needs to be done to prepare for PREA audits.
