Tribal Law and Policy Institute (TLPI) in partnership with Children and Family Futures (CFF) provides ongoing offsite technical assistance, including monthly conference calls, with the Red Lake Family Healing to Wellness Court, which includes their Coordinator and two judges. Calls detail their current planning status, and review, if any, of their policies and procedures.
Monthly Conference Call - June 2017
TLPI and CFF met up with the Red Lake Family Healing to Wellness Court team at the NADCP conference.
Monthly Conference Call - Aug. 2017
Monthly Conference Call - Sep. 2017
Monthly Conference Call - Aug. 2017. As part of this monthly call, TLPI provided written comments for their draft Family Healing to Wellness Court policies and procedures. Currently, they conflate the criminal and family models, which is confusing. Further, the team has yet to meet collectively, and so review of the draft policies and procedures has been limited to the judges.
Monthly Conference Call - Nov. 2017. Judge Royal has been recovering from a surgery, and so away from the court. In her absence, there appears to have been some internal staff turnover, postponing planning efforts.
