We are requesting an All Access Pass (AAP) with FranklinCovey. The AAP will also include specific facilitator certification in 7 Habits for Highly Successful People (or Managers or Law Enforcement), Trust Foundations (or Leading at The Speed of Trust or Policing at The Speed of Trust). The facilitator certifications will include agency personnel as well as community partners. The community partners will receive physical materials only and will not have access to the AAP. With the AAP, the agency will have continued access to Diversity Centered Policing, Nobility of Policing, 7 Habits on the Inside and Implicit Bias.

3. Physical materials for officers and community partners in the two content areas

Description of the Problem

Law enforcement and the community have a widening gap of trust, collaboration and engagement between them within the existing population and the next generation of officers and citizens. There also isn’t a common leadership framework between law enforcement and the community partner organizations that we collaborate with on a daily basis. By installing a common framework of trust building communication and leadership within the law enforcement agency and diverse community partners, we believe we can strategically work more cohesively and effectively together. Last, the All Access Pass (AAP) will enable the agency to address unforeseen training gaps such as Nobility of Policing, Diversity Centered Policing, Implicit Bias and 7 Habits on the Inside (Jail, probation, parole, prison).

How do you anticipate that the requested assistance will address the problems?
The TTA will combat an overwhelming national decrease in trust, information sharing from the community, and collaboration in the adult population and more significantly, the youth in our community. This TTA will also address the strained relationship between our diverse community groups that has led to decreased officer engagement and increased physical, verbal and social resistance to officers.
