IIR supports the efforts of the Bureau of Justice Assistance’s (BJA) Justice Information Sharing (JIS) Training and Technical Assistance Committee (JTTAC) through the planning, agenda development, hosting, and action item follow-up of standing bi-monthly conference calls. For this reporting period, JTTAC virtual meetings were held in January, March, and May. However, staff is always monitoring TTA and JIS community activities with an eye toward JTTAC conference call agenda items and resources and activities of interest to relay to the JTTAC team. Participants on the bi-monthly calls include BJA leadership, JTTAC member agency representatives, and invited guests including integral training and technical assistance (TTA) partners, such as leaders of Global and BJA’s National Training and Technical Assistance Center, who move information sharing solutions into successful implementations for the field in the most coordinated, efficient, and cost-effective manner. IIR also maintains the group’s membership roster, disseminates useful JIS resources, and facilitates ad hoc discussions between JTTAC representatives.
