The NRTAC will be hosting a convening in Denver at the Denver Crime Lab to serve as a meeting for all CGIC replication sites (as well as the Denver CGIC model site) under the National CGIC Initiative, as well as identified observation sites as requested by BJA. This two day convening will consist of strategic planning, one on one time with SMEs for the replication sites, peer to peer networking sessions, and breakout sessions relevant to each key player in the CGIC process. ATF leadership, BJA, Denver CGIC representatives, and others will provide presentations as well as ongoing peer to peer support. Approximately 60 individuals will attend the convening.
The attending sites include 3 replication sites, part of the National CGIC Initiative:
Milwaukee CGIC
Washington, DC CGIC
Los Angeles CGIC
Additional observation sites include:
East Baton Rouge CGIC
Phoenix CGIC
Kansas City
New Orleans
Please check the box next to the following questions if the answer is 'yes'.
The NRTAC was originally advised by BJA that a conference form was not necessary for this convening. The original convening was scheduled for May 2017, but was later rescheduled to August 2017 due to the subsequently identified need to submit a conference form. The conference form has since been submitted and approved.

The NRTAC conducted multiple planning calls with project SMEs and BJA to determine the content and agenda for the Denver Convening. NRTAC team members conducted additional outreach to each CGIC replication site, observation site, and Denver CGIC presenter to determine attendees and provide guidance on each presentation. The NRTAC worked to identify a hotel near the meeting space and develop various logistical documents/ provide travel for select attendees. The NRTAC continues to work with presenters and particularly members of the Denver CGIC to finalize logistical items and presentations.
