Welcome to the National Sexual Assault Kit Initiative: Archival This webinar was presented by the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) and the SAKI Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) team. In this webinar BJA introduced the key representatives associated with SAKI. Discussions included an overview of key objectives and insight into the responsibilities and expectations of being a SAKI grantee. In addition, this webinar familiarized viewers with the SAKI TTA team. The SAKI TTA team, led by RTI international, is a multidisciplinary team consisting of a distinguished group of partners that include: Rebecca Campbell from Michigan State University, AEquitas, the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), the Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network (RAINN), the Joyful Heart Foundation, and the SANE-SART Resource Service. The role of the SAKI TTA provider is to deliver TTA services to the BJA SAKI, BJA SAKI/DANY and DANY sites in order to establish widespread evidence-based, victim-centered, and sustainable practices for collecting and processing forensic evidence for sexual assault cases. The goal of SAKI TTA is to assist with the development of solutions which promote cross-agency collaboration and build information systems that facilitate decisions to optimize forensic science resources. This webinar directed viewers on how to contact the SAKI TTA team and where to find key resources.
