The South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services (SCDPPPS) requested assistance to develop leadership standards for law enforcement, specifically, leadership standards as they relate to the development and maintenance of leadership standards for mid-level managers. BJA NTTAC was not able to fulfill the request and closed the request on December 12, 2016.

How do you anticipate that the requested assistance will address the problems?
The SCDPPPS has established as one of the objectives of it five year strategic plan to develop and train all supervisors and managers on leadership standards from an evidence-based source. The standards will be linked to their annual employee performance management reviews. Requesting technical assistance will provide the Department with the tools and knowledge needed to develop the standards with the most appropriate strategies for delivery and of training and maintenance of standards among supervisors and managers.
