Urban Institute's RAC team visited Seattle to meet with Domestic Violence Prosecutor's Office who arranged meetings with other criminal justice stakeholders. Meetngs were held with the representatives from WA DOC, probation, law enforcement, county executive office, therapeutic courts, victim advocates and services. Prosecutor's office is interested in initiating a risk assessment for sentencing decision-making but they haven't decided if it will be a newly developed one or something already available off the shelf. Prosecutor's office will write a protocol on best practices on using a tool and Urban Institute will advise on this protocol.
