The Detroit VRN team expressed interest in working with SEARCH on the two projects: 1) DPD could improve information sharing of incident data by participating in N-DEx. 2) Participate in SEARCH's effort with the Michigan State Police to automate the warrant process. Due to the death of the IT POC in February, all activities related to this work have been put on hold. DPD is focused on completing an RMS upgrade before they will be able to address either of these projects.

JULY-DECEMBER 2015 PROGRESS UPDATE: SEARCH participate as requested on Detroit VRN team calls. During these discussions, SEARCH made to suggestions to improve information sharing by Detroit Police Department. DPD could improve information sharing of incident data by participating in N-DEx. SEARCH informed the team about its work with the Michigan State Police to automate the warrant process. The team expressed interest in using N-DEx, and SEARCH has forwarded suggestions on the approach that could be followed to do so. As of the end of the reporting period, SEARCH has not received a formal request from DPD to begin work on developing an N-DEx submission capability.
