Met and corresponded with grantee 3 times between January and March of 2025 on 1/21, 3/25, and 3/26
Summary of Successes
They are partnering with probate court by having a physician assess individuals with an order of detention to provide appropriate SUD referrals
Their case manager has been supplying naloxone to as people are released from the detention center
In March, they conducted a training for the entire sheriff's office on their LEAD program to raise awareness of the referral process
They conducted similar trainings at local faith based organizations
They have begun working with the Medical University of South Carolina's Just Say Know program to implement prevention programs in their schools

They would like to "revamp" their OFR. They feel that their meetings are robotic and not productive
