CSG Justice Center staff coordinated via email on 11/1/24 with the Reentry Council and Washington State DOC staff to schedule a state leaders meeting for 11/5/24 at 1 PM EST/10 AM PST. CSG Justice Center staff followed up with WA DOC via email on 11/1/24 regarding the internal data meeting. WA DOC responded that the meeting took place but the data team was not prepared and would reschedule. CSG Justice Center staff emailed WA DOC on 11/1/24 to coordinate logistics for the SCA Conference with DOC and CSG Justice Center staff. Confirmed WA DOC's participation in two presentations and a plenary session at the conference. CSG Justice Center staff emailed WA DOC on 11/8/24 to send the agenda for review and approval for the state leaders meeting. On 11/5/24, CSG Justice Center staff held a meeting with with the Reentry Council and Washington State DOC staff to finalize state leaders meeting decisions. It was decided who would represent tribes, who would chair the Reentry 2030 subcommittee, and all state leaders were confirmed except for DCYF. CSG Justice Center staff emailed WA DOC on 11/12/24 to send a BJA conference travel letter. On 11/14/25, CSG Justice Center staff had a call to finalized plans for the December state leaders meeting and the afternoon Reentry Council and DOC session with WA DOC and the Reentry Council. On 11/15/25, CSG Justice Center staff had a call with WA DO to discuss state revenue challenges, potential new staff for the Governor, DOC Secretary updates, and logistics for the December meeting. It was confirmed that CSG would support subcommittee development and work plan updates. DOC’s internal data meeting did not go as planned, and a follow-up was needed. CSG Justice Center staff emailed WA DOC on 11/15/24 to
share information about Washington’s Reentry 2030 data objectives, including a CJARS template and corrections record document. CSG Justice Center staff emailed WA DOC on 11/15/24 to review the attendee list for the upcoming state leaders meeting with WA DOC. CSG Justice Center staff emailed WA DOC on 11/19/24 to follow up on an unanswered email from 11/15/24, specifically asking if WA DOC was prepared to meet with CSG Justice Center and/or CJARS. DOC responded on 11/26/24, expressing the desire to meet with CSG Justice Center first before scheduling a meeting with CJARS. SG Justice Center staff emailed WA DOC on 11/25/24 to finalize logistics for the state leaders meeting and the afternoon strategic planning session with WA DOC. On 11/26/24, CSG Justice Center staff received an email from WA DOC acknowledging the delay in response and discussed internal meetings regarding the importance of data for Reentry 2030. DOC confirmed data mapping would be ready by the week of 12/16/24 and agreed to meet with CSG before scheduling a meeting with CJARS.
