CSG Justice Center staff emailed Washington State Department of Corrections on 10/8/24 to coordinate times for a data meeting with DOC's internal data team and CSG Research Team, and to invite them to present at the SCA conference in December. CSG Justice Center staff emailed Washington State Department of Corrections on 10/8/24 to notify them of the rescheduling of the North Carolina connection due to the hurricane's impact. On 10/14/24 CSG Justice Center received an email from Washington State that suggested they include a tribal representative in Washington's Reentry 2030 movement and emphasized the importance of tribal engagement and collaboration. CSG Justice Center staff and Washington State DOC staff had a call on 10/15/24 to discuss data collection. CSG suggested connecting with CJARS for a data dashboard, and DOC agreed to meet internally before scheduling a follow-up with CSG. CSG Justice Center staff and Washington State DOC staff had a call on 10/17/24 to discuss updates and planning. Next steps included creating meeting summaries and planning for tribal representation. On 10/24/24 CSG Justice Center received an email from Washington State that shared the WSRC 2023-2026 Strategic Plan, highlighting its role in providing clear direction, improving decision-making, resource allocation, performance measurement, and stakeholder engagement. On 10/28/24 CSG Justice Center received an email from WA DOC that had the final signed Executive Order related to Reentry 2030. On 10/29/24 CSG Justice Center received an email from Washington State that proposed the structure for the Steering and Executive Committees of the Reentry 2030 initiative, emphasizing the importance of tribal representation and the responsibilities of state reps from various agencies. On 10/29/24 CSG Justice Center received an email from Washington State that outlined the organizational chart for Reentry 2030, confirming various state agencies’ roles in creating their own subcommittees and reporting back to the Reentry Council. On 10/29/24 CSG Justice Center received an email from Washington State that clarified the role of the Department of Commerce within Reentry 2030, noting the division of responsibilities between the Housing and Community Services Divisions and the need for further in-person discussions regarding Commerce’s involvement.
