All Rise referred Yurok Tribe's Foundational Training application to TLPI as TLPI would be developing a tribal-specific foundational training. A second TTA request from Yurok was also received by TLPI. Wellness Court Specialist Kristina Pacheco clarified that the TTA request was a duplicated request for foundational training. An initial planning meeting with Yurok was set for February 2024. As a TTA planning continued, it was determined that a future onsite in collaboration with the Tribal Youth Resource Center (TYRC) would occur to train overlapping staff in the Adult and Juvenile Healing to Wellness Courts. The onsite was scheduled for August 2024. The Onsite TTA with Yurok in collaboration with TYRC did not proceed, and Wellness Court Specialist Kristina Pacheco would provide the onsite training for Yurok. October or November 2024 was considered and November 18-19, 2024 was selected.
The training included the following topics:
• Foundational training on Case management, Responding to Participant Behavior, Phases, Review of the 10 Key Components, and THWC 101.
• Roles
• Staffing
• Joint Jurisdiction
• Maximizing referral intake; "get them in early"
• Contingency management
* Peer Support
