This reporting period a Sister Court visit occurred: Sister Court Salt River Pima visited Mentor Court New Mexico Urban Native American Healing to Wellness Court, and a visit by Sister Court Cher-Ae Heights Community of the Trinidad Rancheria at New Mexico Urban continues to be planned.
An additional 4 visits occurred this period. A cultural onsite was hosted by Mentor Court Little Traverse Bay Band of Odawa (LTBB), and supported by TLPI, for Sister Courts Keweenaw Bay Community and Pokagon Tribe, potential Sister Court Mille Lacs, along with Mentor Court Tulalip. This 2.5 day visit occurred August 20-22, 2024, and was offered so that Sister Courts and peer Mentor Court Tulalip could observe how culture is incorporated into LTBB's THWC. It included traditional cultural activities, THWC staffing and hearing observations, and talking circles.
Individual Sister Court visits are expected to continue next reporting period.
