The national 2024 Second Chance Act Conference: Celebrating 15 Years and Building Beyond Recidivism is 2.5-day conference that will be held December 16-18, 2024 in Philadelphia, PA at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown.
The program will include plenary and workshop sessions featuring experts with lived experience and from government, private, and nonprofit sectors. Sessions will focus on timely issues pertinent to jurisdictions across the country, including strategies to improve access to housing in reentry, data collection on recidivism and social determinants of health, and cross-system collaboration between corrections and behavioral health. Time will also be scheduled for you to connect within your cohorts for facilitated discussions.
BJA and the National Reentry Resource Center (NRRC) will host the conference in partnership with the SCA TA providers at The Council of State Governments (CSG) Justice Center and Treatment Alternatives for Safe Communities (TASC). The NRRC is the nation’s primary source of information and guidance in reentry. Its mission is to advance the knowledge base of the reentry field, facilitate the exchange of information, and promote resources that showcase what works in reentry.
