The Center made contact with each of the new grantees throughout the months of December and January and formally welcomed them on January 9, 2025, at the TA Kickoff Call webinar. The initial webinar received positive feedback from grantees and gave them a refresher on community court practices. One-on-one meetings with each site commenced in January, and will continue through mid-February. The meetings serve as a formal starting point to address core challenges and carve out expectations. On February 6, 2025, the Center will present on Ongoing Needs Assessment Activities and provide grantees with how to utilize needs assessment activities to identify policies and programs tailored to their community’s needs. The first quarter will finish in March, and the Center will present on Advancing Community Court Practices: Policy Development and Enhancement to sharpen the skills of practitioners and explore aspirational and innovative strategies to enhance court policies and procedures. This session will provide some actionable forward-thinking approaches to community court practices. The Center will continue to provide support by hosting one-on-one and group meetings to provide additional guidance and expertise throughout the implementation process, which will be reported for the next grant reporting cycle.
