TTA Coaches, Skadden Fellow Grace Carson and Wellness Court Specialist Alyssa Harrold, continued communication with Penobscot Tribal Court Administrator, Rebecca Winter. Communication included:
1. Enhancement Training registration opening and sharing of link.
2. Follow up on Penobscot's plan to provide participants access to medication assisted treatment (MAT) in serving individuals with substance use disorders.
3. Ms. Winter sharing MAT information with TA Coaches, detailing that this information is given to each participant when Case Manager intakes are completed, and that the Policies and Procedures Manual includes the 10 Key Components.
4. Ms. Winter shared that Penobscot uses the GAINS assessment and have updated to make it accessible to all participants.
Communication this reporting period satisfies the three primary areas that BJA requested TLPI to follow up on (access to MAT, adherence to 10 Key Components, and risk/need assessment. Grantee complies with additional award conditions, but indicated that it was not included it in the grant narrative or program materials. Grantee support will continue next reporting period.
