On October 15, the CSG Justice Center spoke with RTI International to discuss and coordinate work around behavioral health calls for service. During the call, attendees talked about the work that each organization is doing in this area, discussed common challenges and barriers, and found opportunities for collaboration. On November 13, the CSG Justice Center spoke with representatives from Pew during which we shared a list of policy recommendations and potential products that will come out of the 911 project. On December 19, the CSG Justice Center spoke with representatives from the Albuquerque Police Department (ABG PD) where the Justice Counts team connected the 911 BH Calls for Service Team with ABQ PD to discuss how the agency identifies and codes calls for service with a behavioral health nexus. On October 1 and December 19, the CSG Justice Center spoke with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) National 911 Program in two meetings we discussed best practices for data collection in Emergency Communications Centers and identified Centers around the country that may be useful for engaging and/or piloting products. During the second meeting, the CSG Justice Center shared a list of potential products for the project and solicited feedback from NHTSA, as well as discussed opportunities for collaboration.
