Objective 1: Individualized Technical Assistance to Grantees In August, CSG Justice Center staff continued to meet with WADOC staff to discuss progress regarding the partnership with Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA), who is expected to handle the legislative proposal for the Superior Court DV Court. YWCA is actively reviewing the draft proposal prepared by the previous partner. They are coordinating both independent and collaborative meetings with legislative partners, the Washington State Coalition on DV, and WADOC to develop a plan of action and timeline to ensure the proposal can proceed in the January 2025 Legislative Session. WADOC reported that they are actively reviewing the budget and will be submitting a Grant Award Modification request for to reallocate some funding to YWCA. However, the Spokane Regional Domestic Violence Coalition (SRDVC) will also remain on the grant, as they will provide services to referred individuals. WADOC also noted that the vacant Community Corrections Officer 3 (CCO3) position remains unfilled due to delays in HR processing for posting. The DV program currently has 31 participants enrolled. Of these, 5 have failed to report, 1 is detained on new charges, 3 were picked up on warrants from other counties, 1 was released from incarceration, 21 are actively engaged in the program, and 2 are pending admission.
