Objective 6: Provide intensive TA to 10 states, supporting the adoption and use of the Justice Counts metrics to drive decision-making. (Founding State Work)
In Indiana CSG Justice Center staff were on site meeting with JRACs in Decatur County, Clark County, Washington County, Johnson County, and the Indiana Management Performance Hub, and presenting to the JRACs in Shelby and Tipton Counties. The trip served to raise awareness about Justice Counts throughout the state as the JRACs are the key to unlocking agency relationships and data in the state. The Tipton County Probation Department opted in after the trip.
Also in Indiana, CSG Justice Center staff met with a number of agencies to provide technical assistance in using Publisher and discuss their goals for sharing data. These agencies include Hancock County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, the Allen County Commission, the West Central Regional Community Corrections, the Owen County Court Services, Shelby County Community Supervision, Putnam County Community Corrections, and Howard County Community Supervision. CSG Justice Center staff also met with the full Jasper County JRAC who plan to vote on joining Justice Counts at their next meeting. Additionally, Decatur County Court Services opted in.
In Missouri, CSG Justice Center staff were on site to present to over 150 people from the Missouri Association of Prosecuting Attorneys. The presentation resulted in an opt-in, along with several referrals for future conversations and opt-ins. While on site, CSG Justice Center staff also met with three police departments, Fair Grove, Lauri, and Sunrise Beach. The Laurie Police Department opted in during the conversation.
Also in Missouri, CSG Justice Center staff on site sent out data use agreements to 39 agencies to allow Prosecutor by Karpel to share their data in Publisher. CSG Justice Center staff also met with the Bolivar Police Department, the Independence Police Department and the Bates County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for the first time, and provided technical assistance to the 22nd Judicial District, the Cole, Laurence, Johnson, Perry and Ripley County Prosecuting Attorney's Offices, the Bolivar Police Department, St. Louis Division of Correction, and the Jefferson and Kimberling Police Departments
In Ohio, CSG Justice Center staff worked with the Ohio Office of Criminal Justice Services to share data for eight law enforcement agencies. The Ohio Office of the Public Defender shared data on behalf of Montgomery County, and CSG Justice Center staff conducted onboarding sessions with Cuyahoga County Public Defender and the Cleveland State University Police Department.
In Pennsylvania, CSG Justice Center staff met with the Dauphin County District Attorney's Office to discuss the first batch of data uploaded on 'Cases Disposed' and plans for future uploads.
In Washington, CSG Justice Center staff met with Washington Administrator of Courts to discuss an upcoming conference.
