The Rochester, New York, Police Department (RPD) and the Chattanooga, Tennessee, Police Department (CPD) sent seven representatives to meet with the Denver Police Department (DPD) Firearm Assault Shoot Team (FAST). FAST provided an in-depth presentation on the concept, the training process for detectives, the models and protocols, and lessons learned. The RPD and CPD then met with the CGIC Unit, Digital Evidence Team, and NIBIN team. A representative from the Police Foundation came and provided an overview of its support to the DPD, and the day ended with a presentation on Place Network Investigations.
The following day, the CPD met with the Aurora Police Department (APD) to learn about its Aurora SAVE program (Standing Against Violence Every Day). The CPD was able to sit in on the working group meeting that discussed current and potential participants in the program.
