· 1/19: Video call with Tami Jo Lieberg, Kelly Mitchell, Corey Kohan, Mike Schommer, Kami Genz, Tracy Hudrlik, Rhonda VanSchoonhoven, John Marsolek, Carter Diers, and Janelle Cheney to review and discuss JRI efforts in Minnesota, Senate File (SF) 2909, the Community Supervision Advisory Committee’s responsibilities in statute, the role and responsibilities of the working group, and how the groups interact in supporting the Community Supervision Advisory Committee in developing statewide policy recommendations. · 1/19: Video call with Dan Traun (Procurement, MDOC) and Al Godfrey (Director, MDOC) to discuss the Phase II subaward process, requirements for submitting the proposal to BJA, and timeline for submission and approval. (2 people in attendance, 1 agency)

· 1/19: Video call with Kelly Mitchell, Wally Kostich, Jon Schiro, Barb Wechman Brekke, Kurt Mortensen, TamiJo Lieberg, Becca Muskat, Kevin Glass, Ron Antony, Mike Schommer, Scott Halverson, Nicholas Henderson, Jon Priem, Jake McLellan, Carter Diers, and Jenna Kavanagh for the fourth Community Supervision Advisory Committee meeting. The meeting included an update from various subcommittees and a discussion on prioritizing the committee’s deliverables and developing a timeline. (16 people in attendance, 7 agencies)

Conlin, Heidi Rademacher, Danette Buskovick, Scot Wilson, Tammi Solarz, Kelly Mitchell, and Carrie Stumne to discuss and define the Statewide Outcomes Subcommittee’s role and responsibility in defining data points that are outlined in legislation and continue mapping current data fields to outcomes in legislation. The group further reviewed and discussed the CSTS Executive Committee's annual data reports on outcomes and how those metrics are linked to the existing data system. (10 people in attendance, representing 4 agencies)

2/23: Video call with Tami Jo Lieberg, Kelly Mitchell, Corey Kohan, Tracy Hudrlik, John Marsolek, Carter Diers, Janelle Cheney, Rachel Miller, Emilio Lamba, Molly Bruner, Matt Cook, and Leah Fleming to review and discuss general team updates, view a DOC presentation on case plan training materials, and begin outlining priorities and tasks within the case planning priority area (12 people in attendance, representing 3 agencies)

2/23: Video call with Kelly Mitchell, Jon Schiro, Barb Wechman Brekke, Kurt Mortensen, TamiJo Lieberg, Becca Muskat, Kevin Glass, Ron Antony, Scott Halverson, Nicholas Henderson, Jon Priem, Jake McLellan, Julie Atella, and Jenna Kavanagh for the fifth Community Supervision Advisory Committee (CSAC) meeting. The meeting included written report-outs from the committees, a discussion on the Request for Information (RFI) for a future workload study, a report from the risk and needs working group presented by CSG Justice Center staff, and two motions that passed unanimously including one to accept the LS/CMI as the state’s universal risk and needs assessment tool and explore options for validation. (14 people in attendance, 8 agencies)

3/6: Video call with Dylan Warkentin, Jennifer Johnson, T.J. Conlin, Heidi Rademacher, Danette Buskovick, Scot Wilson, Tammi Solarz, Kelly Mitchell, Genevieve Wilkens, Eric Johnson, Jake McLellan, and Carrie Stumne to continue mapping current data fields to outcomes in statute and to discuss and clarify the Statewide Outcomes Subcommittee's role and responsibilities in establishing data points that are stated in legislation. The CSTS Executive Committee's yearly data reports on results and the connections between those metrics and the current data system were also examined and debated by the group. (12 people in attendance, representing 4 agencies)

3/7: Video call with Jeff Locke (Senior Policy Advisor, BJA), Julius Dupree (Policy Advisor, BJA), and Robert Shelor (Senior Policy Advisor, BJA) to discuss project goals for Phase II and the upcoming intergovernmental reentry workshop in Minnesota. (3 people, 1 agency)

3/15: Video call with Kelly Mitchell, Tracy Hudrlik, Carter Diers, Mike Schommer, Rachel Miller, Kami Genz, Corey Kohan, John Marsolek, Rhonda VanSchoonhoven, Darnell Brethorst, Leah Fleming, TamiJo Lieberg, and Janelle Cheney to discuss the process and ideas for subaward funding, case plan training recommendations, and metrics for success. 03/20: Video call with Tracy Hudrlik (Director, MN DOC) and Dan Traun (Corrections Program Director, MN DOC) to discuss the state’s Request for Proposal (RFP) process for invoicing deliverables and requirements under the subaward. (2 people, 1 agency)

4/11: Video call with Danette Buskovick, Carrie Stumne, Taylor Reinhart, Heidi Rademacher, Midge Christianson, Courtney Hougham, Dan Pepper, Jennifer Johnson, Walt Cygan, and Jenn Nordine to explore methods of conducting data analysis to use collected data to meet the statutory requirements pertaining to the development of performance indicators. (10 people, 3 agencies)

4/12: Video call with Kelly Mitchell, Tracy Hudrlik, Carter Diers, Rachel Miller, Kami Genz, Corey Kohan, Rhonda VanSchoonhoven, Janelle Cheney, Matt Cook, and John Marsolek, to discuss the draft proposal created by the Master Trainer Case Planning Group on potential case planning recommendations and discuss ideas for possible subaward funding use. 4/19: Video call with Kevin Glass, Ron Antony, Kelly Mitchell, Morgan IronHeart, Heidi Rademacher, Becca Muskat, Jon Priem, Julie Atella, Jon Schiro, Kurt Mortenson, Barb Weckman Brekke, Nicholas Henderson, Jake McLellan, and Mike Schommer to discuss recommendations from the CSTS Data Committee on the data collection and reporting deliverable and to discuss a draft of the supervision fee report. 4/23: Video call with Carter Diers (District Supervisor, MN DOC) to review the draft case planning proposal document put together by the Master Trainer Case Planning Group. (1 person, 1 agency)

Conlin (Probation and Parole Agent, CCA), Heidi Rademacher (Business Information Specialist, CCA), Danette Buskovick (Operations and Innovations Area Director, CCA), Scot Wilson (Corrections Program Planner, CCA), Jake McLellan (Regional Manager, MN DOC), Taylor Reinert (Supervisor of Anoka County, CCA), Eric Johnson (Court Services Director, CPO), Tammi Solarz (Juvenile Unit Supervisor, CPO), and Carrie Stumne (Software Development Program Manager, Strategic Technologies, Inc.) to discuss reporting recommendations for the upcoming CSAC meeting including improving data mapping of those metrics and recidivism reporting in the CSTS data system. 6/12: Community Supervision Advisory Committee (CSAC) meeting with 13 participants representing 7 agencies to approve the CSTS data recommendations and ISR supervision guidelines to move forward for approval by the MN DOC Commissioner.

6/14: Video call with Kami Genz (Director of Aitkin County Community Corrections, CCA), Kelly Mitchell (Assistant Commissioner of Community Services and Reentry, MN DOC), Leah Fleming (Agent, CPO), John Marsolek (Director of Blue Earth County Community Corrections, CCA), Tracy Hudrlik (Interstate Director, MN DOC), Janelle Cheney (District Supervisor, MN DOC), Rhonda VanSchoonhoven (Goodhue County Director, CPO), TamiJo Lieberg (Director of Kandiyohi County Community Corrections, CCA), and Carter Diers (District Supervisor, MN DOC) to discuss best practices in case planning on community supervision, the updated case plan straw document, the status of the technology and data enhancements proposed for subaward funding, and current work around behavior response grids in the state.
